Today, bone regeneration has become a frequent and routine procedure in implant patients. Current topics of interest in this field touch on soft tissue regeneration, the management of risk factors and the management of complex cases. The prerequisite for the success of established and new treatment modalities, on the one hand, is the utilisation of appropriate biomaterials and, on the other hand, the correct application of surgical concepts. Both require extensive tests and comprehensive scientific documentation, which the international speakers of the Osteology Symposium will substantiate with the latest results from their preclinical and clinical studies. In Cannes, we shall shine a critical light on the state of the art of dental regeneration. World renowned experts will discuss the biological principles of regenerative therapeutic concepts, the latest study results and
current trends. Here, based on the objectives of the Osteology Foundation, they will combine the scientific fundamentals with their practical application.

We hope you will join us in these leading scientific meetings in the field of regenerative dental medicine on one of the most beautiful coasts in Europe.

After the last, successful Symposium in Monaco in 2007, we are delighted that the International Osteology Symposium 2011 is again to take place on the French Riviera. Cannes is the city of glamour, the pearl of the Mediterranean. Aesthetics has always played an important part in this city, particularly at the International Film Festival. Among other matters, the International Osteology Symposium will also address aesthetics; established regenerative treatments with their current potentials and limitations will be placed under the spotlight.

While “more illusion than reality” is showcased at the celebrated film festival in Cannes, Osteology will feature the current regenerative concepts with which practitioners can achieve lasting functional and aesthetic results.

We are delighted to welcome you.

Education and training based on scientific evidence are key factors for the clinical success with regenerative therapies. It is evident that the selection of the ideal management strategy for the patient is only possible, when the care providers are familiar with current scientific data and are able to evaluate the clinical concepts.

At the International Osteology Symposium in Cannes, internationally renowned teams will present state of the art scientific data and newly developed clinical concepts and thus provide clinicians and scientists in the field of implant dentistry with indispensable tools for their daily work.

In recent years, the Osteology Foundation has become known as one of the important organizations in regenerative dentistry. The aim of the Osteology Foundation is to improve the quality of life of patient by promoting research and development of new biomaterials and clinical treatment concepts. The International Osteology Symposium in Cannes 2011 will make an important contribution towards this aim.

Welcome to Cannes!
